Ron Blue talks with Todd Harper, Tim Mohns, and Steve Scalici about the power of financial finish lines. Todd Harper, president of Generous Giving, has seen firsthand the power of setting financial finish lines in the lives of people who want to live radically generous lives. As advisors, Tim Mohns and Steve Scalici both have set financial finish lines for themselves, and they will share how this decision has impacted their client advice. This important discussion examines the personal application of answering the question, “How much is enough?” as well as the amazing impact that helping clients to answer this same question can have.
Todd Harper, one of the founders of Generous Giving, has been actively engaged in spreading the biblical message of generosity for more than 15 years. In his current role as President, he acts as the key spokesperson, managing relationships with givers, and implementing strategies for advancing the generosity message. Todd's passion is to disciple others, and given his extensive experience in ministry leadership, major donor development, and philanthropic advising, he is particularly suited to encourage Christians to excel in the grace of giving. He and his wife, Collynn, and their five children live in Orlando, Florida.
Tim Mohns is a financial advisor with Raymond James in Naperville, IL and board co-chair of National Christian Foundation, Greater Chicago. Tim has experienced the transforming power of God’s generosity. As a result, he is committed both personally and vocationally to inviting others to discover the key role generosity plays in living a life of purpose. He and his wife, Rachelle, are the parents of two children and live in greater Chicago.
Steve Scalici has over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor and is dedicated to providing clients with an individually-tailored approach to goals-based wealth management. He works with individuals, families, business owners, and charitable organizations. At the heart of his philosophy is a passion to build enduring client relationships through his commitment to providing outstanding guidance and service. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Board for Urban Youth Impact in West Palm Beach and the FCA Palm Beach County. He stepped down from those roles to become the pastor of Family Church Jupiter in Jupiter, FL. He is spearheading a movement he calls "2 in 2." The church has committed to reach a two mile radius around the church with the Gospel in a two year period. Steve was inspired by Acts 19:10, which states that all of Asia heard the Gospel in two years. Steve has been married to Apryl for 20 years and has three daughters (Hannah, Abby, and Emma).
