In this Annual Conference breakout session, Janice and Stacy explore what women are looking for and need in their financial advisors. They draw from their collective years of experience as financial professionals and present strategies for building fulfilling, long-term relationships with female clients.
Stacy DenHerder is passionate about helping her clients create estate plans that "put their life into their estate plan" so that their beneficiaries understand the values out of which the estate plan was written. She holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law and has practiced law for over 20 years in the San Diego, CA area. Stacy educates and counsels families on options available to them and on ways that they can, through generous giving, enjoy a prosperous life and leave a lasting legacy. Stacy speaks regularly and has a daily radio show called "Wisdom, Wealth, and Purpose." Stacy and her husband, Chuck, who have two boys, also together run DenHerder & Associates.
Janice Thompson's interest in all things financial go back to her earliest childhood memory. After years of counseling people in financial basics, she began to focus on a career in the industry in 1993. During the next decade she earned a Master's Degree in Financial Services and the CFP® designation, and launched Strategic Financial Solutions, Inc. In 2014 she merged her practice with Audrey Coleman and jointly they formed One Degree Advisors. She is passionate about assisting affluent families with meaningful gift planning and legacy wealth transfer as well as working with women going through transitions. Janice enjoys speaking on various financial topics as well as mentoring other financial professionals. She and her husband, Tom, have two grown children and are actively involved with several non-profit organizations. Janice also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Kingdom Advisors.
