On this call, veteran financial advisors Mark Miller, Dwight Short, and Mark Tevebaugh share their experiences in learning about and implementing BRI in their practices. They address the fears that many advisors face when transitioning, how to engage clients in a conversation about BRI, and how implementing BRI can help to grow your in your own spiritual walk.
Mark entered the securities industry in 1986. He has prior experience in the banking industry. Mark and his team joined Merrill Lynch in July 2009. Building relationships with clients while assisting and providing them with the knowledge and expertise to avoid the many pitfalls of fear and greed is an importance aspect. A graduate of Furman University, Mark is actively involved in his church, among other local ministries. He is married and has four children.
Dwight Short completed more than 34 years as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch, taking full retirement on August 3, 2005, and having achieved the title of First Vice President, Investments and the CIMA® designation. However, Dwight feels that more important than any bio highlights is the simple truth of his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his personal Savior when he was a teenager. He adopted Matthew 6:33 as his theme for life: "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." This is still the best indication of who Dwight seeks to be, and what he hopes to achieve in his life. By offering himself as a consultant, speaker, and author on biblical issues relating to investors and advisors, he continues to work toward that goal. Dwight and his wife, Marlene, have two children and four grandchildren.
