Believing that discipleship begins prior to the point of conversion, Jim Wise teaches about discipling non-believing clients. Because financial advisors often have access to clients’ struggles and heart issues via their financial decisions, they are uniquely positioned to begin the discipleship process with non-Christian clients. Jim covers two distinct points on the spiritual continuum, prior to conversion: spiritual disinterest and spiritual interest. He teaches how to use specific faith statements, diagnostic questions, and points of engagement with clients. Jim relies heavily on examples from Scripture to examine how to disciple those who have not yet converted to faith in Christ.
Jim Wise is a Senior Partner and Senior Financial Advisor for the Private Wealth Division of Ronald Blue Trust. A frequent conference speaker for churches and faith-based organizations, Jim also teaches a weekly Bible study in the Lake County Jail. Jim has written three books: a Bible study workbook, Five Steps to Financial Freedom; Spiritual Gifts, Plain and Simple; and Inheritolatry: The Final Obstacle to Completing the Great Commission. He has earned many professional designations including the Certified Kingdom Advisor® designation. Jim and his wife, Lori, live in Orlando, Florida, and have six adult children and six grandchildren.
