Each of these men plays a key role in the development of the vision. Michael Blue, Director for Professional and Church at the Ron Blue Institute has been integrally involved in taking the message of biblical stewardship to the marketplace via a new church curriculum and the re-write of the 30th anniversary edition of Master Your Money. As a professor for financial planning students at Liberty, Kurt Cornfield has pioneered taking the message of biblically wise financial advice to college campuses as he trains the next generation of Christian financial advisors. And, as President of Kingdom Advisors, Rob West is helping to shape the future of the specialty of biblically wise financial advice in the industry. Michael Blue
Ron Blue InstituteMichael Blue serves as the President and General Counsel for the Ron Blue Institute. In this role, he focuses on providing content and curriculum for high schools, colleges, and universities in the area of biblical financial stewardship and generosity. Prior to his role with the Ron Blue Institute Michael practiced for ten years as an attorney focusing on business and securities law, real estate acquisition, development and leasing, and estate planning. Michael earned his law degree from Baylor University, where he graduated summa cum laude. Prior to his career as an attorney, Michael worked as a financial planner for Ronald Blue & Co. where he earned his CFP® designation in 2002.
Kurt Cornfield
Liberty UniversityKurt Cornfield serves as Director of Student and Emerging Advisors for Kingdom Advisors and teaches in the School of Business at Liberty University. After beginning his career at Morgan Stanley in 1984, he spent 24 years at Merrill Lynch, retiring in 2018. Over the course of his career, he developed a deep passion for holistic financial planning, focusing on incorporating biblical wisdom into his advice. Kurt was instrumental in developing the first CFP® Board-registered program that integrated biblical wisdom into the coursework. Through this program, graduates of Liberty's program are prepared to pursue both the CFP® and CKA® designations. Kurt is passionate about encouraging all student and emerging advisors to pursue biblical wisdom in their advising careers. He and his wife, Nancy, have three children and live in Lynchburg.
Rob West
Kingdom AdvisorsRob West is CEO of Kingdom Advisors and host of the nationally syndicated radio program Faith & Finance, heard on more than 1,500 radio outlets each day. Rob has dedicated his professional career to working at the intersection of faith and finance, having led a successful faith-based financial services firm, serving as the host of several radio programs on a biblical approach to finance, and speaking frequently on the topic. Rob and his wife, Julie, live in Marietta, Georgia, with their four children.
