Jerry Bowyer

AC21 Workshop-Corporate Shareholder Engagement: Using Your Portfolio to be Salt and Light

About the Course

A growing area of financial advising involves values-based investing, often known as ESG investing or faith-based investing. In this session, Jerry Bowyer examines the impact of conscience or conviction on investment options for investors who choose to invest in the securities of companies whose businesses run counter to the investor’s conscience. Jerry will introduce a process to uncover the clients convictions as a part of designing the investment policy statement. He also introduces action steps that stock investors can take to express their concerns to the companies in which they invest.
